The Urban Cookie Forest is a community-driven urban forestry project focused on planting trees where they matter most. The project combines GIS mapping, field data collection, and public engagement to identify priority planting areas and track impact over time. In partnership with the Girl Scouts of the USA and BBB, the project empowers youth and community members to take an active role in environmental stewardship. Through a mobile-friendly platform, volunteers and partners can easily contribute data, share stories, and visualize progress, turning tree planting into something both measurable and meaningful. By connecting people, place, and data, the Urban Cookie Forest aims to grow healthier, more resilient urban environments—one tree at a time.
